It’s a special day today – the 80th anniversary of the end of the war in Europe. VE Day!
There were street parties and celebrations, and people danced in the fountains in Trafalgar Square! For many, the war still wasn’t over as loved ones were still fighting in Asia – but in Europe, Hitler and his regime had fallen and peace finally reigned.
